When you look for the best overall card, you want to find a credit card that has a low APR, a low (ideally 0%) introductory APR for as long
a time as possible on both balance transfers and new purchases, and no annual fee. It is also terrific if the card gives you
extra rewards (like cash back or airline miles). After considering all the available offers and balancing the merits of each card, we
feel that the list below represents the best overall credit cards. These card provide the best balance of the sorts of things
most consumers are looking for in a credit card. You'll notice that most of these cards are either Discover or American Express
cards. This is because these companies are trying very hard to attract consumers who are used to carrying Visa and Mastercards,
which are slightly more widely accepted. So if you are willing to carry a card that you can use only slightly fewer places than Visa
or Mastercard, then these cards will reward you handsomely. And carrying a Visa card (like the chase Platinum Visa) or a
Mastercard card (like the Citibank Diamond card) is also a great idea just in case!
